Our Founders

Mr. R. Gopalakrishnan

Founder Chairman

Mr. R. Gopalakrishnan, a forward-thinking leader, has followed in his father's footsteps by joining his family's textile business. With a vision to elevate the company to new heights, he established Royal Classic Mills (P) Ltd. in 1991.

Serving as the Founder Chairman of the Company, he has steered the helm for the past three decades, overseeing consistent growth. With a Diploma in Textile Technology and over 38 years of experience, he has honed his expertise in fiber-to-fashion engineering, spanning the entire manufacturing chain.

Under his stewardship, the company has flourished into a Textile Major with revenues of INR 700 Crores, encompassing both export and domestic business segments. He has effectively led the entire group to success, now known as the Royal Classic Mills.

Mr. T. R. Sivaram

Executive Director

Mr. T. R. Sivaram, skilled at executing the strategies devised by the Chairman, has been serving as the Managing Director of the company for the past 28 years.

Being a Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering – he has vast experience in Fabric Exports, Garment Manufacturing, Brand Development, and Retailing.

He oversees Classic Polo, the flagship brand of RCM, which boasts an omni-channel presence across India and other Asian countries.

Today, Classic Polo stands as a prime men's wardrobe solution in the mid-premium category within the organized retail industry in India. Its growing number of repeat customers serves as a testament to the brand's quality.
